To be the focal point of integration for immigrants, refugees, and low income individuals in Central Ohio in order to improve the quality of their lives, to facilitate their integration through education, training, supportive services, and self development opportunities, and to increase the awareness of their culture and heritage.
"Tewahedo” in our name means “come to unity” or “to become one” in an ancient Ethiopian language. It represents our philosophy that all humanity is one and that this oneness creates a responsibility to help the community of which we are a part.
The three leaves of the ETSS logo represent Faith, Family, and Freedom. Faith is the first leaf because it is the basis of hope, and without hope one cannot build a strong family or pursue freedom. Family is the middle leaf because strengthening families is the central focus of our organization. Freedom is the third leaf because it is essential to achieving happiness.
