Tutor in the After School Program, Grades K-12
What is involved: Tutors assist students with homework in Language Arts, Math and other academic subjects.
Times: Monday-Friday, after school depending on site
Involve your company in Youth Activities/Workshops!
Assist with the Youth Summit!
Be a Mentor!
ETSS relies on volunteers to help in all aspects of our programming. There are opportunities to work with students in our Youth Program, participants in our Adult Program and help clients in our Family Care Department. You can also become involved with a wide variety of activities and events such as Evening of Promise and the Youth Summit. All volunteers must undergo a complete background check and volunteer training.

Teach beginning and intermediate level ESL
Description: Lead a class of English language learners in beginning and
intermediate level ESL classes
Times: Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm
Assist in ESL instruction
Description: Help students work through course material alongside the instructor
Work to help develop clients develop job-related and workforce skills
Teach clients how to access public transportation
Sort and organize donations
Assist clients in 'shopping' at our free store for clothes and hygiene items
Bilingual volunteers may be able to help with interpretation
Volunteers in the Family Care Program must attend training provided by ETSS on domestic violence and human trafficking.
These opportunities generally take place at the ETSS Main Office.
