Programming provided for adults focuses heavily on adjusting to life in the US. We assist immigrants and refugees in Central Ohio with services like Citizenship classes, Job placement and training, English as a Second Language courses and Community Health education. ETSS serves as a resource in the community for immigrants and refugees to work towards their goals.

The Family Care Department at ETSS focuses on serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. This programming provides guidance and case management to individuals and families who need assistance in navigating the steps toward safety. This department can also provide educational presentations on topics such as community health, Trauma Responsive Care and the signs of domestic violence and human trafficking. Family Care staff at ETSS serve as advocates and educators on these sensitive issues.
ETSS Youth Programming focuses on educational needs as well as the social-emotional well-being of students in Central Ohio. Our Youth Services include After School Programs, Summer Camp, Out of School Youth Employment assistance and much more. We know that every student faces challenges and we do our best to tailor our programs to the needs of the community.
What does it mean to help new arrivals establish roots and gain self-sufficiency? At Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services (ETSS) we believe that this means providing communities with the services and tools they need to feel at home in Central Ohio. This includes job training, English language classes, after school tutoring for children, case management for victims of domestic violence and much more. We provide all of these services through our Youth Programming, Adult Programming and Family Care Department offered at 12 sites throughout Central Ohio.
How do we achieve this?
