ETSS Tewahedo Social Services is proud and excited to announce its annual fundraiser, the "Promise in Action" Annual Fundraiser and Awards Luncheon. The highly anticipated event will take place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 1 PM at The Boat House, 679 W Spring St, Columbus, OH 43215.

The "Promise in Action" Luncheon serves as ETSS's signature fundraising event, bringing together community leaders, advocates, and supporters. Moving from the traditional evening gala format to an elegant lunch setting, this year’s event continues a vital tradition of raising necessary funds to keep ETSS doors open and expanding services for thousands of individuals, helping create a better future.

“Our annual fundraiser is more than just a look back at what we have accomplished,” said Dr. Seleshi Asfaw, Founder, President and CEO of ETSS. “It is about showing up today, putting our promises into action, and ensuring that our immigrant, refugee, and low-income neighbors have the ongoing support they need to thrive. Communities like ours simply cannot afford for us to stop.” Massive action is needed today more than ever.

The "Promise in Action" Luncheon will feature powerful, firsthand stories from community members whose lives have been transformed by ETSS programs. Additionally, the event will host an Awards Ceremony honoring outstanding partners, neighbors, and supporters who have stood side-by-side with the organization to champion equity and opportunity in Central Ohio.
